Sea Life Centre, Birmingham

The National Sea Life Centre in Birmingham opens a window into the world beneath our oceans, with more than 50 astonishing displays housing everything from shrimps and starfish to seahorses, stingrays, sea turtles and tropical sharks.
Brand new this year is an incredible 4D Cinema screening a special adaptation of the BBC Planet Earth programme ‘Shallow Seas.’ Its audiences find themselves in the thick of the action as dolphins and other creatures leap from the screen, and even smell the seaweed and feel the salt spray.
The Centre is home to a Turtle Sanctuary housing a number of endangered freshwater turtles and also features a family of Asian short-clawed otters.
